The singer has confused fans with a series of tweets
Troubled pop star Justin Bieber gave his fans an unwanted Christmas present by announcing his retirement via Twitter on Christmas Eve. The singer tweeted that he was “officially retiring” late Christmas Eve, the day before his new movie Believe opened worldwide on Christmas Day, with a series of tweets, citing the media for his likely “bad image” recently.
Bieber likely confused fans with the final tweet in the series.
Bieber sent fans in a frenzy last week when he announced, “The new album… I’m actually retiring. I’m retiring man. I’m just gonna take some time. I think I’m probably going to quit music,” during an interview on Power 106 FM.
Bieber’s long time manager Scooter Braun dismissed the report on Friday saying that the singer was “just kidding.”
“Next year he’s taking a break just to make music and relax, take some time for himself for the first time since he was 12,” Braun told ITN.
Bieber released his new album Journals on Monday via iTunes.
Fans, and the music industry, will have to wait and see if Bieber actually does the world a favor by retiring or “taking a break.”
