Justin Timberlake announces free Memphis concert

The free show takes place January 19th

Next week, Justin Timberlake is returning to his native Memphis to host a free concert at the Orpheum Theater. The one-night-only hometown show is set for January 19th with ticket requests available through Monday, January 15th via Ticketmaster.

The global pop star shared the news on his socials with a series of teases, including a photo with the event details. “Going home,” he captioned along with a 2024 travel schedule that displays “Travel to Memphis” on January 17th and “Orpheum” on January 19th with other dates and events blacked out.

The post also includes a video of a young Timberlake talking about Memphis as his home and a video featuring a few seconds of an unreleased song. Timberlake is prepping to release his sixth studio album, although additional details are forthcoming. The project would be his first solo effort since 2018’s Man of the Woods.

As of this writing, the concert post is the only one on Timberlake’s socials. He recently scrubbed his socials which has become common practice when artists are set to release a new era of music.

Timberlake and his former *NSYNC bandmates also recently reunited to record an original song for Trolls Band Together. The 90s pop boyband has contributed “Better Place” for the upcoming Universal Pictures and DreamWorks Animation film Trolls Band Together, starring the band’s Justin Timberlake as Branch. The band is profiled in the bonus features on the Trolls Band Together Sing-Along Edition available on Digital, 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD on January 16th from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment.
