Justin Timberlake has announced that the video for “Take Back The Night” will be released on July 30th. Filmed in the city that never sleeps, New York, the video harkens back to the days when the nightlife ruled the city and beckons everyone within earshot that the night holds endless possibilities. The video was directed by Jeff Nicholas, Jonathan Craven and Darren Craig for The Uprising Creative. The “Take Back The Night” single is currently the #1 most added single at Top 40 and Rhythm radio as well as the #1 most increased single at Top 40 radio, additionally it’s in the Top 10 in 20 markets on iTunes.
Prior to the video debut, fans will be able to join the journey via an interactive Twitter hashtag campaign at Timberlake’s website that will be supported by behind-the-scenes content enabled by Stipple, starting Tuesday, July 30th at 7 am ET. Fans will be able to go on a fun, virtual journey throughout New York City, from the legendary Yankee Stadium to historic locales in Chinatown and unlock secrets of the video by touching images to gain fun facts and expand the experience on the making of the “Take Back The Night” video. Fans can also join Justin Timberlake’s all-new fan club The Tennessee Kids and share their #TakeBackTN moments.
The 20/20 Experience- 2 of 2 and The 20/20 Experience (The Complete Experience) are available for pre-order with the latter featuring all 21 tracks. In addition, fans who pre-order either version of the album on iTunes will instantly receive a download of the single “Take Back The Night.” The single is also available on Amazon and all digital service providers.
Timberlake recently received six MTV nominations for the upcoming 2013 MTV Video Music Awards. The sweeping and emotional video “Mirrors” garnered nominations for Video of the Year, Best Male Video, Best Pop Video and Best Editing, while his team up with fellow superstar JAY Z, “Suit & Tie,” earned nominations for Best Collaboration and Best Direction.
Timberlake will kick off The 20/20 Experience World Tour on October 31st in Montreal , QC and will visit cities in South America, Europe, Australia and North America through 2014.
