Brown’s gold-certified Experiment yields three RIAA certified hits

Kane Brown was surprised late last week with four RIAA certification plaques while cutting vocals at Sound Stage studio on Music Row. In March, Brown’s sophomore album Experiment and its lead single “Lose It” were certified gold and platinum, respectively. Last week, “Good As You” was certified Platinum and Kane Brown’s current single “Homesick” gold.

A three-time AMA winner, “breakthrough entertainer” (Associated Press) Kane Brown continues to “defy-genres” and “break boundaries” (Billboard) in country music. Brown is the first artist in Billboard history to Top all 5 Billboard country charts simultaneously and with the 4X platinum certification of “Heaven,” he became one of only five country acts with multiple 4X platinum hits joining Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Sam Hunt and Taylor Swift. His sophomore chart-topping album Experiment debuted No. 1 on both the Billboard 200 and Top Country Albums chart, becoming the only male country artist in more than 24 years to debut at the top of the Billboard 200, and only one of three country artists to top the Billboard 200 chart in all of 2018. To date, Experiment has produced back-to-back No. 1 hit singles-the platinum-selling hit, “Lose It” and platinum-selling hit, “Good As You,”– and was ranked by The New York Times as one of the Top 10 Best Albums of the Year.

Brown’s latest collaboration, the “brutally catchy” (Rolling Stone) “One Thing Right” with internationally renowned DJ/producer Marshmello has already been streamed more than 90 million times worldwide with the video receiving more than 34 million views. In addition to Brown’s vocal highlighted on the track, which “shines with his deep twang that is both warm and dangerous,” (Rolling Stone) Brown co-wrote “One Thing Right” with Marshmello, Jesse Frasure, Josh Hoge and Matthew McGinn. After originally meeting at the 2018 American Music Awards, where Brown won three awards (Favorite Male Artist – Country, Favorite Album – Country, and Favorite Song – Country for “Heaven”) and Marshmello took home Best Electronic Dance Artist, the two record-breaking entertainers will bring “One Thing Right” to GMA’s Summer Concert Series on August 30th.

Earlier this summer, Brown sold out the STAPLES Center’s 20th anniversary concert in under two hours at the historic downtown Los Angeles arena. The concert, set for October 18th, marks the first major milestone event in what will be a year long celebration of the arena’s memorable history since opening the doors on October 17, 1999 and being the driving force behind the revitalization and resurrection of downtown Los Angeles.
