Kat Von D shares ‘Exorcisms’ Deluxe Remix EP

EP features reworked versions

Kat Von D shares the deluxe version of the recently released Exorcisms Remix EP, with additional reworks. The expanded EP version features previously released reworks of the haunting single by British synthwave pioneers Gunship, darkwave favorite Cold Cave, French evocative synth pop purveyors Scratch Massive, and Kraftwerk’s Henning Schmitz aka n.e.o. as well as a “haunting piano version.”

“I wanted to include a haunting acoustic version of ‘Exorcism’ on this remix album because I loved the dynamic of having a fragile, more melé chol y versión to contrast the handful of powerful electronic versions,” Von D shares. “I originally wrote ‘Exorcism’ on piano, so it felt nostalgic to record this sentimental take for my fans to hear a different side of me.”

The release coincides with Von D’s global live stream event The Love Made Me Do It Experience!, in partnership with Moment House, and follows Kat Von D’s acclaimed synth-driven debut LP, Love Made Me Do It, released on September 30th. In addition to the synth-laced lead single, “Exorcism,” other darkwave bops released include “I Am Nothing,” “Enough,” and “Fear You.” The LP features collaborations with Dave Grohl, Linda Perry — with whom she started writing material over 10 years ago — TV on the Radio’s Dave Sitek, Bauhaus’ Peter Murphy, Nine Inch Nails’ Danny Lohner, Ladyhawke and Charo.

Kat Von D will also debut her global livestream, The Love Made Me Do It Experience!, which was initially scheduled for November 15th, featuring her full band performing a cinematic live show of songs from her critically acclaimed debut album. The livestream, produced in partnership with Moment House, gives fans who missed Von D on her recent west coast American tour a chance to watch her and her band deliver their theatrical and powerful live performance. The Love Made Me Do It Experience! also features a very special, intimate acoustic performance direct from Von D’s LA home. Immediately following the performance, fans will have an opportunity for a virtual afterparty, which will then be followed by a virtual meet and greet with Kat Von D.
