The Super Bowl airs February 1st on NBC
Global superstar Katy Perry has invited Lenny Kravitz to join her as she headlines the Pepsi Super Bowl XLIX Halftime Show on NBC at University of Phoenix Stadium in Arizona on Sunday, February 1st, it was announced today (Jan 10th) during an exclusive interview with Perry on NBC’s broadcast of the AFC Divisional Playoff game featuring the Baltimore Ravens at New England Patriots. Katy’s full interview with NBC’s Willie Geist discussing her upcoming halftime performance and her invite to Kravitz will air Monday morning (Jan 12th) on Today.
The Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show is the most-watched musical event of the year. More than 115 million viewers in the U.S. watched last year’s show. The Super Bowl and halftime show will be broadcast worldwide.
Perry joins an esteemed list of recent halftime acts that includes Bruno Mars, Beyoncé, Madonna, The Who, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Prince, the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney and U2.
