Kelly Clarkson: Studio Sessions – The Las Vegas Residency will now kick off one week later
Kelly Clarkson postponed the start of her new residency, Kelly Clarkson: Studio Sessions—The Las Vegas Residency, 90 minutes before showtime on Friday (July 4th). The global superstar says she’s “devastated” to push the start back one week due to a vocal strain.
“We have been working 24/7 to make Studio Sessions the most intimate and extraordinary experience with and for my incredible fans. I am beyond grateful that you always show up for me and I am devastated to have to postpone tonight and tomorrow’s opening at Caesars. The prep and rehearsals have taken a toll on my voice. I want the shows to be perfect for y’all and I need to protect myself from doing serious damage so I am taking this weekend and next week to rest up so that we can deliver what you all deserve. The show is truly incredible. The musicians and singers are outstanding, and I want us all to start out strong,” she says. “I can’t wait to be back next weekend and show y’all what we’ve been working on.”
Caesars Palace confirms the shows are being rescheduled and fans can either hold onto their tickets and wait for further information or request a refund.
The remaining 16 shows are set for July 11, 12, 18, 19, 25, and 26; August 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16; and November 7, 8, 14, and 15.
The run follows Clarkson’s sold-out exclusive Las Vegas engagement at PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in 2023 and 2024.
For a seventh season, Clarkson’s eponymous daytime talker, The Kelly Clarkson Show, has been renewed by NBC Owned Television Stations group. Since its launch in 2019, the program has collected television’s most prestigious awards. The show has won 22 Daytime Emmys, including multiple wins for Outstanding Daytime Talk Series and Outstanding Daytime Talk Series Host; two People’s Choice Awards for Best Talk Show of the Year; and accolades from the Alliance for Women in Media’s Gracie Awards, winning the Talk Show Entertainment category three times.
In a recent episode, the former American Idol winner says she has started her own label and released “Where Have You Been” last month.
