Kelly Clarkson ‘Piece By Piece’ debuts at #1 on Billboard Top 200

GRAMMY award winner Kelly Clarkson’s sixth studio album, Piece By Piece debuts at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart with over 97,200 total equivalent units.  The album is also #1 on Billboard’’s Current Albums Chart and marks Clarkson’s third #1 on the Billboard Top 200. Overseas, Piece By Piece was Top 6 and in the UK, Canada and Australia and top 10 on iTunes in 21 countries including South Africa, Finland and New Zealand.

Clarkson kicked off her US promotion with a profile on CBS Sunday Morning followed by a performance and skit on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, a performance on Good Morning America and panel spot on Watch What Happens Live.

Critics have been raving about Piece By Piece with TIME saying it’s “a record that’s loaded with slick power-pop and uplifting empowerment anthems,” and Entertainment Weekly says, “it’s reminding fans of the powerhouse vocalist Clarkson is.” The Huffington Post said Piece By Piece, “is unmistakably Kelly Clarkson through and through. The hooks are big, her voice is booming and the lyrics are both personal and universal. Kelly also graced the cover of People Magazine, the cover of USA Today’s Life section and had features with Entertainment Weekly, Los Angeles Times, TIME, Vulture, Elle, Glamour and many more.

Last week, Clarkson announced her 2015 Piece By Piece Tour. The 38-city tour, promoted exclusively by Live Nation, will start on July 11th in Hershey, PA. and culminate on September 20th in Camden, NJ. Joining Clarkson on the tour will be recent GRAMMY winners, Pentatonix, and singer-songwriter Eric Hutchinson.
