Little Big Town invited the young star during a duet

Kelsea Ballerini got the surprise every country artist hopes to achieve when she was invited to join the Grand Ole Opry. The 25-year-old singer was invited during a special performance of “Girl Crush” with Little Big Town on Tuesday (March 5th) on the famous stage.

“Kelsea Ballerini, wanna join the Opry?” the group sings to Ballerini as the song ends.

Ballerini will be the next member inducted, most likely in April 2019, although no induction information has been announced as of press time. Upon her induction, she will be the youngest living member of the Opry, surpassing Chris Janson when he was inducted in March 2018.

She will join more the more than 200 acts who’ve been invited to join country music’s elitist since the Opry started as a radio program started in 1920’s. More details as they become available.
