Black River Entertainment superstar Kelsea Ballerini is offering fans a taste of her upcoming sophomore project Unapologetically, set for release November 3rd. The chart-topper has teamed up with Foursquare Swarm for a first-ever partnership. The Foursquare City Guide and Swarm app launches its latest version, 5.0, this week.
All week long, fans are invited to keep watch on Ballerini’s social media accounts for special clues on which locations to check-in on the life-logging mobile app. Upon checking in, they will then receive a “Kelsea Ballerini Bonus” – which can be swiped to unveil an exclusive clip of a must-hear album track and Ballerini talking about the highly anticipated tunes. Currently 50 million monthly global users keep track of their travels with the Swarm app and explore the world and discover new places using Foursquare City Guide.
“We are thrilled to offer Kelsea Ballerini fans an exclusive look at her latest album in our app Foursquare Swarm, particularly this week as we just launched Swarm 5.0,” states Foursquare’s head of partnership, Justin Breton. “This partnership is the first of its kind and Swarm 5.0 is a major update; it brings the lifelog to the forefront of the app with an interactive map, stats and insights that motivate users to do and see more. We’re already seeing Kelsea’s enthusiastic fans using the Swarm app to check-in, lifelog, and unlock her videos.”
The countdown is on to Unapologetically, with lead single “Legends” currently charging up the charts. The highly anticipated project marks the follow-up to the debut album, The First Time.
Ballerini will perform and receive the Gene Weed Milestone Award at the 11th Annual ACM Honors on August 23rd in Nashville. The show will broadcast on Friday, September 15th from 9-11 pm ET/PT on CBS. The event recognizes special honorees and off-camera category winners from the 52nd Annual Academy of Country Music Awards held earlier this spring.
The 23 year old singer/songwriter, who just signed a new publishing agreement with Sony/ATV, is currently on Lady Antebellum’s You Look Good Tour with Brett Young. The tour kicked off May 26th in Bakersfield, CA (we were there) and wraps September 9th with a hometown performance in Nashville.
