Both projects drop Valentine’s Day

Kelsea Ballerini is surprising fans with the release of a short film and accompanied six song EP. Rolling Up The Welcome Mat will be released digitally on Valentine’s Day (Feb 14th) at midnight.

Ballerini wrote and directed the short film.

The country star shared the news and teasers for both projects on social media today (Mon, Feb 13th).

“six songs. one short film. all rolling up at midnight, valentine’s day,” she writes with the film’s poster art featuring her in a hotel room bed.

In another teaser for the EP, she describes, “rolling up the welcome mat. the six song story. tonight at midnight.”

In a third teaser, she shares a brief snippet of the film featuring “Mountain With A View” where she sings, “It’s 7 am and I’m on a mountain with a view / I’m the only one at a table meant for two.”

The projects follow Ballerini’s fifth studio album, Subject to Change, released last fall. Ballerini is set to embark on the second leg of her headlining Heartfirst Tour this spring, in addition to joining country icon Kenny Chesney on his highly-anticipated I Go Back Tour, supporting Wynonna Judd on two The Judds: Final Tour dates, and Shania Twain’s Queen of Me Nashville tour stop this summer.
