Kid Rock fans can rest peacefully knowing they can see him in concert this summer. On Monday (April 8th), Rock announced his $20 Best Night Ever Tour with $20 tickets available in all sections, including reserved and lawn seating. Kool & The Gang, ZZ Top and Uncle Kracker will support on select dates.
The concert rolls through U.S. amphitheaters starting June 28th in Bristol, VA and wrapping up September 15th in Tampa, FL. Rock will play three hometown shows in Detroit August 9th through 11th with ZZ Top supporting.
In an unprecedented move, Rock will offer all-in $20 tickets for all sections of every show that includes parking and fees. These tickets will be available at participating Walmart locations as well as promoter Live Nation’s website. Rock wants to be sure all fans can enjoy themselves while staying within their budget so each tour stop will see lower prices on parking, food and beer and merchandise. Special $4 draught beers, value food packages, cheaper parking (where possible), free samples of Jimmy John’s sandwiches at select venues, free coffee (for designated drivers and for the drunk to sober up) at the end of each show, and $20 tour t-shirts will be available.
And if that’s not enough, Rock is also reserving the first two rows of every show as free upgrades to lucky fans chosen at random. Paperless ticketing will be available, where possible, for fans to avoid ticket scalpers. Rock is setting aside 1,000 tickets to each show to release as Platinum Tickets which will have some of the best seats in the house. Platinum Tickets are marked prices which removes the money making opportunity from scalpers by pricing these select seats at market value. Rock is scalping his own tickets and selling these directly to fans to combat scalping.
“Everyone knows the economy is still hurting people across the country, but I didn’t want that to be a reason why everyone couldn’t get out and enjoy themselves on a summer night,” Rock says in a statement. “So we’re going to throw the biggest and best party ever, with prices across the board that are reasonable and transparent. No hidden fees, no gimmicks. We’re not sparing any expense on this tour, we’re going over the top as always, but that doesn’t mean we’re going to ask the fans to pay more. If this works we’re going to play to packed houses of fans who appreciate what we’re doing. If it doesn’t, might be a long summer. But someone has to go out there and fight these high prices and change things up, and I’m lucky enough that I can afford to take a pay cut. $20. Best night ever.
Tickets go on sale to the public in select markets beginning April 12th on livenation.com. Participating Walmart and Live Nation box office locations will offer the all-in $20 tickets while all other locations will carry additional service fees and/or parking fees, where available. Current Kid Rock’s Rebel Soldiers fan club members will have first dibs in purchasing tickets. New memberships will be sold beginning April 11th.
