Kollectico releases Grateful Dead bobblehead

Limited edition collectible is in honor of Skull & Roses‘ 50th anniversary

It’s been 50 years since the Grateful Dead released Skull & Roses, which earned the band its first Gold album, and Kollectico is honoring the 50th anniversary with a new limited edition keepsake collectible bobblehead. The officially licensed bobbleheads of Skull & Roses are hand-sculpted, 100% hand-painted and packaged in collector boxes. Only 1,971 pcs of the 8-inch design will be made worldwide, each individually numbered.

“The Grateful Dead’s unique, diverse and extraordinarily fun iconography lends itself to so many artistic forms and interpretations, and we’re thrilled to see these iconic images come to life in the form of bobbleheads,” says Andrew S. Hazen, Founder & CEO of Kollectico.

“We couldn’t be more excited about this partnership with the Grateful Dead and Rhino Entertainment,” adds Hazen. “The Grateful Dead has always been a huge source of inspiration for me and this is an opportunity for us to use our creativity to honor theirs with exceptional Limited Edition collectibles for Grateful Dead fans around the globe.”

The Limited Edition 50th Anniversary Skull & Roses bobbleheads are $39.95 and available online at BobbleheadBoss.com and GratefulDeadGifts.com.

Earlier this summer, Rhino Records released Grateful Dead Skull & Roses: Expanded Edition on 2 CD and 2 LP. The CD set features the album’s original’s 11 tracks, which have been remastered from the stereo analog master tapes by GRAMMY Award winning engineer David Glasser using Plangent Process Speed Correction. The CD also includes a bonus disc with 10 previously unreleased live tracks that were recorded on July 2, 1971 at the Fillmore West, which was the band’s final performance at the historic San Francisco venue. The music will also be available in both standard and high-resolution 192/24 audio at digital download and streaming services. The LP contains a newly remastered version of the original album pressed on 180-gram black vinyl with Stoughton tip-on jacket & sticker insert.
