The album and app combo go for pre-order September 1st
Pop superstar Lady Gaga has announced that her third LP, ARTPOP, will be released on November 11th. The album will be accompanied with her first ever mobile application available on the same date.
In a message posted on her website, a new single will be released on August 19th with pre-orders for the album and app beginning two weeks later on September 1st. Not much else is known except what the site describes as an album that “musically mirrors Gaga’s creative process as she passes through the mediums of each artist she collaborates with, scoring a blueprint of her journey.”
The album is also described as a “rage of electronic passion and fury.” It also states it could mean anything, but is a celebration of obsession for Gaga.
The mobile app is a unique, one-of-a-kind app that will blend music, art, fashion and technology with a new interactive worldwide community. Built by TechHAUS, the technological branch of Hause of Gaga, the user will be able to build and share their own products, chat with one another, and watch in real time on a virtual globe as the album explodes into the worldwide release on November 11th.
On November 10th, Gaga will host an evening of artRave exhibiting Haus of Gaga’s projects as well as collaborations with Inez & Vindoodh, Robert Wilson, Marina Abramovic and Jeff Koons.
