No word on what the group will play

Lady Gaga and Metallica are set to duet at the 59th Annual GRAMMY Awards on February 12th. Details of their performance are mum, but the Recording Academy has verified the rumor.

“In true GRAMMY Moment fashion, this pairing is sure to make for another unforgettable performance during Music’s Biggest Night,” the Record Academy says in a statement.

News of the collaboration began Monday night (Feb 6th) after a Lady Gaga fan on Twitter posted a TV commercial announcing the duet.

“Lady Gaga is set to perform with Metallica at the #GRAMMYs this Sunday, February 12th!

Last month, Metallica announced it had “something very unique and special planned” for their first performance in three years on the show. They last performed “One” with world-renowned Chinese concert pianist Lang Lang in 2014.

This will be Metallica’s fourth time performing on the awards show. They are nominated for Best Rock Song for “Hardwired” from their newly released Hardwired… To Self Destruct album.

James Corden hosts the GRAMMY Awards on Sunday, February 12th live from Staples Center in Los Angeles. The show will broadcast on the CBS Television Network from 8-11:30 pm ET/5-8:30 pm PT live on both coasts.
