Lust For Life follows Del Rey’s Ultraviolence

Interscope Records’ recording artist Lana Del Rey scores her second US No. 1 on the Billboard chart as her new album Lust for Life opens atop the list. Lust for Life has sold just over 107k copies in its opening week, with high praise from reviewers.

Lust for Life showcases singles such as the title track, “Love,” “Coachella – Woodstock On My Mind,” “Summer Bummer,” and “Groupie Love,” and features collaborations with The Weeknd, A$AP Rocky, Playboi Carti, Stevie Nicks, and Sean Lennon. Lust for Life is available to purchase and stream now on all partners globally.

Del Rey’s previous album, her second full length effort Ultraviolence, was her first No. 1 which premiered atop the chart in 2014. Lust is Del Rey’s fifth Top 10 charting album since her debut in 2002. Born To Die, Paradise EP and Honeymoon all charted.

Billboard also reports this is the second chart topping album Interscope has released in 2017. Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN. ruled the charts for three weeks in May. The project has fallen out of the top three since its release 15 weeks ago. It’s down 13 percent with 48,000 units and falls from No. 2 to No. 5.

Del Rey’s success is followed by Tyler The Creator’s Flower Boy at No. 2 earning 70,000 in album sales with 106,000 overall. Meek Mill’s Wins and Losses comes in at No. 3 with 37,000 album sales and 102,000 overall. All three albums performed better than expected.
