Staley and Alice in Chains erupted from the Seattle grunge scene in the early 90s. With songs like “Man in the Box,” “No Excuses,” “Rooster,” and others, they have played a significant impact in the music world. Staley died on April 5, 2002 following a long battle with heroin. The addiction caused him to leave the band after three studio albums, an acoustic live album, and two EPs. The 34-year-old was found dead on April 20, 2022, two weeks after it was determined he died.
