New remix features Young Thug and Mason Ramsey

Record-shattering artists Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus have unveiled a new version of their global No.1 hit. The new official remix of “Old Town Road” features viral singer/yodeler Mason Ramsey and hip-hop heavyweight Young Thug, alongside Nas and Cyrus.

The cultural phenomenon that is “Old Town Road” featuring Cyrus has achieved RIAA Diamond status of more than ten million units and continues to lead the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 1 for the 14th consecutive week.

“Old Town Road” is now officially the longest running Hot 100 hip hop single of all time and the first song in history to sell ten million copies while remaining No.1 on Billboard. The star-studded music video for the track has exceeded 200 million views since released in May.

Recently, Lionsgate unleashed a trailer featuring “Old Town Road” to promote the September 20th release of Rambo: Last Blood, starring Sylvester Stallone.

“I loved the song the first time I heard it. Country music fans decide what they like. Not critics or anyone else,” Cyrus says. “Waylon Jennings once told me every once in a while the industry outlaws someone because they’re different. Country music fans don’t need to be defined by critics. I’ve always said, don’t think inside the box, don’t think outside the box. Think like there is no box. So, I’m honored to collaborate with Lil Nas X on ‘Old Town Road.'”

Cyrus’ collaboration was released in the spring after Billboard removed the track from the Hot Country Charts it debuted on along with Hot 100 and Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs. Billboard claims the song “does not embrace enough elements of today’s country music to chart in its current version,” according to CBS News.
