The memorial is planned for October 27th in Los Angeles

Linkin Park has announced it will perform a special show in honor of its late singer Chester Bennington. The one-night-only celebration will take place in Los Angeles at the legendary Hollywood Bowl on Friday, October 27th. The band will be joined by a number of other artists, for an unforgettable night of music to honor the man that touched the lives of so many around the world.

Tickets for the event go on sale to the general public on Friday, September 22nd at 10 am Ivan Ticketmaster. LP Underground members have access to pre-sale tickets starting Tuesday, September 19th at noon Los Angeles time. There is an eight ticket limit per person.

Last month, the group announced it was planning a public event for Bennington.

“Just wanted to say thank you to all our fans around the world for the tremendous outpouring of love, which has strengthened our spirit during this incredibly difficult time,” the group says in the statement. “The five of us are so grateful for all of your support as we heal and build the future of Linkin Park. We are working on a special public event in Los Angeles to honor Chester’s memory, and look forward to sharing details with you soon.”

The concert will be the first time the group has performed since Bennington’s suicide on July 20th, one week before the band was to kick off its One More Light Tour in Boston with Machine Gun Kelly. Bennington took his own life at his home in Palos Verdes Estates in Los Angeles County, following his return from a family vacation. The 41 year old Linkin Park and Stone Temple Pilots frontman’s body was found hours before Linkin Park were set for a photo shoot that day.
