A Lone Star Salute to Little Texas features reimagined versions of songs that captured hearts across the world
A Lone Star Salute to Little Texas is available, featuring 23 Texas artists reimagining six of the band’s most iconic songs. As one of the top vocal bands of 90s country, Little Texas earned multiple Grammy nominations, and ACM, CMA, and CMT awards, with three consecutive No. 1 singles and two crossover hits, leaving a lasting mark on the genre. This tribute album celebrates their legacy with fresh takes on classics like “God Blessed Texas,” “My Love,” “Kick a Little,” and “What Might Have Been.”
Artists on the project include Randy Rogers Band, Josh Abbott Band, Casey Donahew, Aaron Watson, Rodney Crowell, Kevin Fowler, Pat Green, Eli Young Band, George Birge, Kolby Cooper, Neal McCoy, Troy Cartwright, Tracy Lawrence, Rodney Carrington, David Adam Byrnes, Keith Nieto, Sunny Sauceda, Rico Gonzalez, Kristen Kelly, Kimberly Kelly, Craig Wayne Boyd, Courtney Patton, and Jamie Lin Wilson.

The new project was recorded at The ER Studio in Nashville, TN and Stormy Cooper Media in Houston, TX. Executive Producer for the FOUR17 Label on the album was Brandyn Steen with Duane Propes as Music Producer. Music was Engineered by David Spielberg and Stormy Cooper, Mixed by Bart Busch and Stormy Cooper.
Little Texas burst onto the 90s country scene with their signature blend of high-energy, rock-inspired country, delivering iconic hits like “God Blessed Texas,” “Kick a Little,” “My Love,” and “What Might Have Been.” The band earned multiple Grammy nominations, won ACM Vocal Group of the Year in 1994, and played a key role in the CMA Album of the Year for Common Thread: The Songs of The Eagles. Their hands-on approach sets Little Texas apart. To date, the band writes, co-writes, records, and plays every note on each release, ensuring their authentic, dynamic sound remains a cornerstone of their identity.
Even 30 years later, their music continues to resonate with fans old and new, showcasing a timeless connection to country music history. Country sensation Lainey Wilson opened the 2024 ACM Awards with her rendition of “God Blessed Texas.” The band continues to tour nationally, embracing the resurgence of 90s country nostalgia.
