Live Viewing Japan brings L’Arc-en-Ceil concert film L’ArCasino to America

Live 2015 L’Arc-en-Ciel is a new concert film distributed by Live Viewing Japan

The Music Universe recently attended Live Viewing Japan’s screening of the concert film Live 2015 L’Arc-en-Ciel, which captured the band’s two-day stand at the Yumeshima Outdoor Special Stage in Osaka, Japan last month. Comprised of Hyde (vocals), Ken (guitar), Tetsuya (bass), and Yukihiro (drums), this band seriously rocked and nearly brought down the 100 year old Anthology Film Archives. Whereas most concert films just show you what occurred at the concert, the powerful Japanese rock music displayed by L’Arc-en-Ciel really made you feel you were there as evident by the audience response in the theater.

The mostly Japanese theater goers certainly felt their heroes were in the building, practically jumping up and down on their seats. For those of not familiar with the band or the Japanese language, subtitles would have been preferable, and some brief backstage documentary footage to give audiences a little backstory about the band would have made the language barrier more bearable to get through. Still however, this concert film had a lot of non-stop energy to it. For the average American not familiar with the band, I do believe in wide release, this band could become better known in this country. Let’s hope the film will do just that. As audiences in Japan already know,  L’Arc-en-Ciel is an amazing band.
