Global star celebrates 35th birthday this month

TidalWave Comics is proud to announce the addition of a comic book focusing on Lizzo to its popular “Female Force” series. “Female Force: Lizzo” will be released on April 26th, one day ahead of the global superstar’s 35th birthday on April 27th.

“Female Force: Lizzo written by Darren G. Davis, with art by Pablo Martinena. This 22-page comic book is available digitally and in print and can be found on multiple platforms such as Amazon. The book will be available in softcover and hardcover. A hard cover version will feature a different cover by Marvel Comics artist Yonami.

Melissa Viviane Jefferson became the iconic singer Lizzo though challenges as well as triumphs. Lizzo, from Detroit, Michigan, started rapping at ten and, by 14, formed her first musical group. She has rose to the top of the charts and has become a voice for this generation. Reading her life story will convince you she’s an authentic Female Force. “I am super-excited to bring Lizzo into the Female Force world. Since her breakout she has been all about female empowerment and destroying glass ceilings,” states writer Darren G. Davis.

“Here, in Argentina, Lizzo leads the lists of the main Tops, so it was quite an incredible experience that she accompanied me with her songs while I drew her pages, no matter what time it is,” adds artist Pablo Martinena.

The “Female Force” imprint features prominent and influential authors, business executives, entertainers, journalists, politicians, and activists. The latest biography comic book joins TidalWave’s ever-growing library of more than 200 comic book biographies. Previous titles have profiled other inspirational women such as Reba McEntire, Dolly Parton, Tina Turner, Gloria Steinem, Cher, Oprah Winfrey and more.

TidalWave Productions will also be releasing a biography comic book called “Fame: Harry Styles” in which his friendship with Lizzo is covered as well.
