The song drops a week before the new album is released
A week ahead of the release of her fourth studio album Virgin, Lorde shares the latest track “Hammer” via Republic Records.
Co-produced by Lorde and Jim-E Stack, “Hammer” opens the album and sets the tone for a record that is both sonically expansive and lyrically sharp. It follows the release of “Man of the Year,” which debuted in the Top 10 globally and continues to climb international charts.
The official video for “Hammer” was directed by Renell Medrano and shot on location in London, marking their first collaboration.
This latest release continues to build momentum ahead of her Ultrasound World Tour, which has already sold out most stops at iconic venues throughout Europe and North America. Demand has been so overwhelming that additional dates were added within hours of the artist presale – many of which also sold out instantly.
