Morgan’s husband has been readmitted into a Tennessee hospital
Grand Ole Opry star, Lorrie Morgan, has canceled all concerts and appearances for the next two weeks per her manager, Tony Conway of Conway Entertainment Group.
Morgan’s husband of nearly 15 years, Randy White, has been undergoing treatment for mouth cancer. White has been readmitted to a hospital in Middle Tennessee.
Fellow Nineties country star Pam Tillis will replace Morgan on the current Alabama tour, including tonight in Phoenix and Saturday in Lincoln, California.
Last month, Morgan released “After The Fire Is Gone” with Tracy Lawrence. The duet appears on Morgan’s 2009 covers album,ย A Moment in Time, which will see a deluxe reissue tomorrow via Cleopatra Records. Available in a deluxe six-panel digipak and on vinyl for the very first time, the CD also includes a bonus DVD featuring a fascinating 40 minute behind the scenes mini-documentary on the making of the album.
Composed by L.E. White, โAfter The Fire Is Goneโ was originally a hit for Loretta Lynn and Conway Twitty in 1970. Tammy Wynette and George Jones followed in 1973. Other immortal pairings to share the heat include Willie and Tracy Nelson, Steve Earle and Allison Moorer and TG Shepherd and Kelly Lang, and Morganโs liner notes admit that recording with Lawrence was a wish come true.
