Lou Reed cancels five dates including Coachella performances

Reed cites “unavoidable complications” for canceling

Seventies glam rocker Lou Reed has canceled five shows, including both of his appearances at Coachella scheduled for mid April. The former Velevet Underground frontman cites “unavoidable complications” as the reason he’s nixing the five West Coast dates.

Reed was scheduled to perform at Coachella on both April 12th and 19th and stopping in San Fransisco, Monterrey and Los Angeles in between.

No other explanation has been given as to why the shows have been canceled. No details on refunds nor if the dates will be rescheduled were given at press time.

The Music Universe will provide more details, if given, upon its availability.
