Lou Reed public memorial to be held Thursday

The ceremony will be held in New York

Fans of the Lou Reed are invited to attend a public memorial on Thursday (Nov 14th) in New York. The announcement was made via the late iconic singer’s Facebook page on Tuesday (Nov 12th).

“A gathering open to the public – no speeches. no live performances, just Lou’s voice, guitar music & songs – playing the recordings selected by his family and friends.”

The ceremony will be held at the The Paul Milstein Pool & Terrace at Lincoln Center on Thursday, November 14th from 1 to 4 pm ET.

Reed died on October 27th of complications of a liver transplant from earlier this year.
