Luke Bryan earns 26th No 1 hit

“Down To One” hits top of country charts

Luke Bryan scores his 26 No. 1 hit this week with his latest smash, “Down to One.” The song, written by Dallas Davidson, Justin Ebach and Kyle Fishman, is from his sixth consecutive No. 1 debuting album, Born Here Live Here Die Here.

“‘Down To One’ is a real like typical song of mine that you kind of expect from me from the years,” Bryan shares. “First time I heard it — it’s written by one of my dear friends Dallas Davidson who I’ve had a lot of success with as a co-writer with through the years — it just sounds like a big ole hit. Guy and a girl out there, in the middle of nowhere enjoying a moment together, a romantic moment, and I always feel like you gotta have those on an album.”

Last month, Bryan premiered the “Down to One” video, in which Bryan teams with director Michael Monaco of FlyHigh Films for the 17th time since 2013.

“Down To One” is the follow up to the album’s three previous No. 1 singles, “Knockin’ Boots,” “What She Wants Tonight,” and “One Margarita,” which landed as Bryan’s 25th career No. 1 single, has more than 269 million streams and the song’s video has nearly 30 million views on YouTube.

The four-time Entertainer of the Year, who is spending his fourth season as a judge on ABC’s American Idol, will release the deluxe version of Born Here Live Here Die Here with six new songs April 9th.

Bryan is nominated for both Entertainer of the Year and Album of the Year at this year’s ACM Awards. The 56th Academy of Country Music Awards will air live from Nashville April 18th beginning at 8 pm ET on CBS. The show will also be available to stream live and on demand on the new Paramount+ streaming app.
