In the final months of her life, Lynn Anderson completed the recording of a new album Bridges. From that project, “Drift Away Gospel” was the cut she selected to be the first single. Her estate is honored to fulfill Anderson’s wishes in sharing this song with country radio.
“Bridges is Mom’s first religious CD in her long career of making music,” daughter Lisa Sutton states. “It has been our soundtrack the past few months and now it’s become the perfect memoir. Like a gift left behind, delivered as only Mom can… It’s almost like it was meant to be.”
Anderson suddenly passed away on July 30th in Nashville after suffering a heart attack. Anderson had been hospitalized for pneumonia following a trip to Italy.
Anderson is best known for her single “(I Never Promised You A) Rose Garden” from the 1970s. She was 67 at the time of her death.
