Exclusive SiriusXM Channel Launches April 24th on Channel 30

SiriusXM has announced that “Free Bird,” Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Southern Rock Channel, featuring the legends who define southern rock, is available on the sat rad network immediately and runs through Thursday, May 23rd on channel 30.

Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Southern Rock Channel, will showcase music from Lynyrd Skynyrd’s extensive career, including the band’s hits and rarities. The channel will also include southern rock classics from an array of artists, including The Allman Brothers Band, The Marshall Tucker Band, 38 Special, Molly Hatchet, Blackfoot, ZZ Top and many more.

SiriusXM subscribers will be able to listen to Lynyrd Skynyrd’s live performance from Stagecoach on Saturday, April 27th on “Free Bird,” Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Southern Rock Channel. Additionally, listeners will hear encore broadcasts of Lynyrd Skynyrd intimate concert for SiriusXM subscribers from March 2018 at Buckhead Theater as well as Lynyrd Skynyrd’s last concert from their hometown of Jacksonville, Florida from TIAA Bank Field from September 2018.

The channel will also feature new exclusively hosted shows including:

The limited-run music channel which launched at noon ET today (Wed, Apr 24th) will run through Thursday, May 23rd on SiriusXM radios (channel 30) and on the SiriusXM app.

Last year the southern rock icons announced that, after a career that has spanned more than 40 years and includes a catalog of more than 60 albums with more than 30 million units sold, they would embark on their Last of the Street Survivors Farewell Tour. The farewell tour logged over 50 stops by the end of 2018 and continues through 2019 taking the band across the country and around the globe, giving fans one last unforgettable night of classic American Rock-and-Roll.
