EST 19XX/Bad Boy/Interscope recording artist Machine Gun Kelly collaborates with Oscar nominated actress and multi-platinum selling recording artist Hailee Steinfeld, for the inspiring new single, “At My Best,” which is now available at all digital retailers.
Produced by pop music mega producer, Benny Blanco, best known for his work with Kesha and Katy Perry, the duet is a perfect balance for the hot rock star of rap and blossoming songstress new on the music scene.
On “At My Best,” Machine Gun Kelly lets fans know he can relate to anybody in the midst of finding themselves, while Hailee Steinfeld sings the chorus with a theme of knowing and recognizing your worth. This single brings listeners a different feel from MGK’s last release, “Bad Things,” but is so necessary in a time where some fans might need a song of inspiration from an artist they can relate to.
“This song’s for anybody that feels like I did, never the cool kid,” Machine Gun Kelly says in a statement. “This song’s for anybody who fought their way through, always remained true. This song’s for anybody, the ones that’s trying to get it the ones that dream it and live it.”
Machine Gun Kelly kicked off 2017 strong; he garnered his first #1 hit on pop radio with his Camila Cabello collaboration, “Bad Things.” He also made his debut daytime TV appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show performing his chart topping single “Bad Things” and followed that with a live performance on BBC Radio’s Radio1 Live Lounge, in the UK, with a special acoustic performance of “Bad Things.”
“Bad Things” owned the Billboard Hot 100 list by staying strong for 18 weeks. The song amassed more than 146m+ streams globally with a radio audience of 145 million and is now RIAA certified platinum.
Machine Gun Kelly continues to push the envelope to be the jack of all trades and diversify his creative portfolio with numerous projects outside of music. He currently holds a strong supporting role opposite of Vera Fermiga in the Rupert Wyatt-directed sci-fi film, Captive State, currently in production in Chicago.
Other acting credits include the independent features Punks Dead, Nerve (with Dave Franco and Emma Roberts) and The Land (with Erykah Badu) in which he served as co-executive producer. He was also handpicked by famed writer/director Cameron Crowe for a regular role on the Showtime series Roadies.
Machine Gun Kelly also signed with Wilhelmina Modeling Agency, and closed out the John Varvatos Fall/Winter 2017 “Wild at Heart” presentation in the last and biggest men’s show of NYFW.
