The powerful duet is available now

Acclaimed singer/songwriter Maggie Rose and beloved superstar Vince Gill come together on a new, moving rendition of the Bonnie Raitt classic, “I Can’t Make You Love Me.” The track is available now along with a music video capturing the duo behind the scenes during the recording process.

Rose has also announced a support slot on Chris Stapleton’s All-American Road Show on June 18th in Greensboro, NC, and June 20th in Albany New York.

“I Can’t Make You Love Me” arrives on the heels of Rose’s lauded album No One Gets Out Alive garnering a Grammy nomination for Best Americana Album.

Rose reveres Bonnie Raitt and had long considered recording “I Can’t Make You Love Me” before making the dream a reality. Wanting to stay true to the original, she also envisioned the song reinterpreted as a duet. A longtime fan of Vince Gill, Maggie instinctively knew his distinct vocals would give the iconic track the lush treatment it deserved. She was beyond thrilled when Vince agreed to join her in the studio. The combination of Maggie and Vince’s pristine voices set against the stark and meticulous arrangement highlights their undeniable chemistry and individual artistic talents.

No One Gets Out Alive was produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Ben Tanner, with conductor Don Hart (Phish, Lyle Lovett) overseeing the arrangements and lush strings. The players include guitarist Sadler Vaden and drummer Chad Gamble from Jason Isbell’s 400 Unit, keyboardist Peter Levin (Amanda Shires, Gregg Allman), bassist Zac Cockrell (Alabama Shakes) and keyboardist Kaitlyn Connor and guitarist Kyle Lewis from Rose’s band. Highlights include “Mad Love” “Fake Flowers,” the title track, and “Underestimate Me.”

A true road warrior, Maggie has shared the stage with the likes of Kelly Clarkson, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Duane Betts, Heart, Joan Jett, Eric Church, Gov’t Mule, The Mavericks, Fitz & The Tantrums, St. Paul & The Broken Bones, Dave Matthews Band and The Revivalists among others. A fixture in Nashville, she has played the Grand Ole Opry over 100 times.

Rose also hosts her podcast, Salute The Songbird. With over four seasons of shows, she engages in candid conversations with her female musical heroes on an array of topics.
