MAGIC! tops Billboard, iTunes & Shazam charts

The story continues to build for Toronto born, Los Angeles based MAGIC! as the band’s explosive hit single “Rude” breaks into the Billboard Hot 100 at #8 making it the week’s greatest digital gainer. The chart position puts MAGIC! in the esteemed company of Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry, John Legend and Pharrell Williams, among others.

The global success of “Rude” also continues to rapidly develop, charting in over 35 countries. The official video has over 13.8 million views and has sold over a million copies worldwide, achieving 4x Platinum status in Australia, Double Platinum in Canada and Platinum in New Zealand. In the U.S. “Rude” charts and is in rotation on 5 different radio formats (CHR, HAC, RHY, AAA, AC and ALT), reached #1 on the U.S. Shazam chart and is #4 on the Top Digital Songs Chart.

Latium/RCA Records set July 1st as the release date for MAGIC!’s debut album, Don’t Kill The Magic. The album is available for pre-order now at Amazon on CD and vinyl. The band distills a gentle Caribbean flavor with arena-size bombast sound that is driven by its expansive approach to songwriting and a strong musical chemistry. Nasri (lead singer) and Mark Pelli (guitar) deliver elements of reggae with a pop and rock vibe; while Ben Spivak (bass) and Alex Tanas (drums) inject the rock attitude to create an intoxicating musical experience.

In May, MAGIC! made their national television debut with their song of summer performance on The Today Show and VH1 Big Morning Buzz Live. The band continue to garner national recognition as being chosen for a USA Today On The Verge feature and confirmed bookings on The View (July 9th) and The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon (July 10th).

Additionally MAGIC! is featured on Shakira’s latest self-titled release with “Cut Me Deep” and will open the summer with a song on the official One Love, One Rhythm: The Official 2014 FIFA World Cup compilation titled “This is Our Time (Agora é a nossa hora).”
