Mammoth WVH releasing deluxe edition of debut album

Set includes three bonus tracks

Wolfgang Van Halen has revealed that a deluxe edition of his solo debut album as Mammoth WV will be released on November 11th. The updated edition will include three new bonus tracks, including the previously Japan-only bonus track, “Talk & Walk,” along with two unreleased tracks, “As Long As You’re Not You” and “Goodbye.”

The collection includes the chart topping single, “Distance,” which was released following his father Eddie Van Halen’s death in October 2020, plus “Don’t Back Down,” “Epiphany,” “Mammoth” and more.

Van Halen plans to follow last year’s debut with a new album in 2023, stating he has seven to ten ideas already.

“[E]very bit of time off I’ve had from touring, I started making demos,” he tells Rolling Stone. “Some of them are kind of different, which is exciting. I want to keep challenging myself and not just keep doing the same stuff. Not crazy different but just different vibes and stuff. Maybe even a little heavier, maybe even a little lighter. Just kind of widen that breadth of what the band can be.”

At the beginning of 2015, Wolf broke ground on what would become Mammoth WVH with producer Michael “Elvis” Baskette (Alter Bridge, Slash) behind the board. Wolf began to embrace his voice, inspired by everyone from his father, to bands like AC/DC, Foo Fighters, Nine Inch Nails, TOOL, and Jimmy Eat World. In addition to writing and singing every song on the self-title debut album, remarkably Wolfgang plays every instrument, although he has assembled a band to perform live.
