An announcement is expected soon
Another diva is set to be headlining Las Vegas with her own residency: Mariah Carey.
E! News has confirmed that the pop superstar “has signed, or is about to sign, a residency deal” with Caesars Palace in Las Vegas to perform at The Colosseum.
The deal is said to be worth $30 million over two years and that Carey could start performing by the end of the year.
If the deal comes into play, Carey would join country superstars Reba and a reunited Brooks & Dunn’s for a residency at the venue over the next two years. Reba and Brooks & Dunn have announced dates for June, July and December 2015 with more expected, so Carey would utilize the stage at other times. Both shows would replace Celine Dion who stepped down after postponing multiple shows over the summer due to health issues within her family.
We’ve reached out to The Colosseum but have not heard received a response as of press time. An official announcement is expected soon.
