Mark Wills to release ‘Greatest Hits’ on vinyl

The collection features “19 Somethin'” and more on red vinyl

With a major label heyday spanning five studio albums and 16 charting singles โ€“ including eight Top 10s and two enduring No. 1 hits โ€“ Mark Wills is remembered as one of the premiere country artists of the late 1990s and early 2000s, and one whose catalog encapsulated an era. A platinum-certified singer and song stylist with a silky-smooth baritone, the ACM award-winning Georgia native and 218th member of the Grand Ole Opry released his Greatest Hits album in 2002 in the CD age, resulting in his second No. 1 country hit, โ€œ19 Somethingโ€™,โ€ recorded specially for the collection.

Set for release June 6th via MCA Nashville/UMe, Mark Willsโ€™s Greatest Hits will be pressed on red vinyl, bringing these 11 all-time classics together on vinyl for the first time. Reviving the warm, resonate magic of Willsโ€™s acclaimed vocal and classic-contemporary sound, the set features his debut single โ€œJacobโ€™s Ladder,โ€ chart toppers like 1999โ€™s โ€œWish You Were Here,โ€ โ€œIโ€™m Not Gonna Do Anything Without Youโ€ (featuring Jamie Oโ€™Neal), and more.

Built on themes of rural romance, deep devotion, compassion, and beyond, Greatest Hits pulls iconic anthems from Willsโ€™s first four studio albums: 1996โ€™s Mark Wills, 1998โ€™s Wish You Were Here, 2000โ€™s Permanently, and 2001โ€™s Loving Every Minute. The collection also includes the 2002 No. 1 โ€œ19 Somethinโ€™โ€ and โ€œWhen You Think Of Meโ€ โ€“ both of which were recorded for the Greatest Hits album. Taken together, it stands now as a late highlight of countryโ€™s pre-file-sharing age, from a true master of heartfelt balladry.

Greatest Hits was previously released only on CD (and later via streaming platforms), although all tracks except โ€œWhen You Think Of Meโ€ were eventually released as seven-inch singles. As such, this marks the first time Willsโ€™s hits have been collected and shared as a vinyl compilation, creating a bridge between worlds โ€“ and the chance to rediscover a sentimental favorite.
