Track is available in the Memories feature on Apple iPhone and iPad

Three-time GRAMMY Award winning multi-platinum band Maroon 5 debuts the music video for their new hit single “Memories” via 222 Records/Interscope Records. The song heralds more music and the band’s anxiously awaited seventh full length coming soon.

Directed by acclaimed director David Dobkin, who also helmed the band’s “Sugar” and “Girls Like You” videos, “Memories” features a stripped down emotional performance of the song by Maroon 5 front man Adam Levine. Dobkin’s combined previous work with Maroon 5 have totaled over six billion views. The video also features work by acclaimed cinematographer Jeff Cronenweth (David Fincher’s Fight Club and The Social Network).

The release of “Memories” marks the first new music from the Los Angeles band since the release of their global anthem “Girls Like You” in 2017. Produced by Adam Levine and The Monsters & Strangerz, as well as Executive Produced by Jacob “J Kash” Hindlin, “Memories” marks a moment of creative and personal progression for Maroon 5. The minimalist ballad starkly pairs a lilting clean guitar with chantable and evocative lyrics from Levine. In addition to representing another sonic side, it tackles uncharted subject matter for the group — namely loss — but from a different angle. Following its release, “Memories” debut chart position claimed Maroon 5’s 30th Billboard Hot 100 entry and is their 22nd song to land in the top 40 on the chart.

Upon its release, the group teamed with Apple to bring the track to fans phones via the Memories feature in the Photos app on iPhone and iPad. The feature is available now in Photos on iOS 13 and iPadOS, and marks the first time Apple has collaborated with an artist to launch a new song featured in the Photos app.
