Nine shows were performed in eight cities

The recently concluded India tour of acclaimed world’s No. 1 DJ, Martin Garrix, has set an impressive benchmark within the live event industry of India by becoming the highest selling tour in the history of live shows in India. Presented by Asia’s largest dance music festival Sunburn, the eight-city tour spanned over two weeks and saw the acclaimed 26-year-old Dutchman tour cities like Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Chennai and New Delhi with a total of nine shows.

“India is one of my favorite countries to perform at, and this tour has been one of the best experiences ever,” Garrix shares. “We have done nine amazing shows in eight different cities and I already can’t wait to come back.”

The cumulative on ground attendance for the tour totaled up to a whopping 150,000 fans, while the official aggregate ticket sale figure registered on bookmyshow was 105,000 beating the likes of tours involving artists such as Arijit Singh, Vir Das, Prateek Kuhad conducted within the Indian sub-continent. These numbers make Garrix’s tour the highest grossing music tour in the history of live shows in India.

The two-time MTV EMA winner and four-time world’s No. 1 DJ got support from Indian celebrities like Ranbir Kapoor, Allu Arjun, Suhani Shah, Abdu Rozik, Just Sul, Aryan Khan, Nagma Mirajkar, Funcho and more at his multi-city tour dates.

Garrix is currently on tour with dates scheduled globally. The Dj returns to Amsterdam this fall for his Amsterdam Dance Event shows on October 20th and 21st in the RAI Amsterdam. This year will mark the fifth edition of his back-to-back shows in the RAI Amsterdam, produced by E&A Events, after four previous sold out editions.
