Six hours of video courses are available now

In his MasterClass, deadmau5 teaches his approach to melodies, mixing, and mastering to make unique sounds you can’t find in a cookie cutter sample pack. Through detailed exercises and 23 video lessons, you’ll learn how to create your own music without dropping millions on gear. This course, which is tailored to your own journey, will help you design, produce, and refine your original track.

After hearing some of the work coming out of his MasterClass, deadmau5 decided he wanted to give his students a shot to be heard around the world. He’s wants to pick the best student-produced track he can find and feature it on his label’s upcoming volume of We Are Friends.

deadmau5’s MasterClass and competition is available now.

Submissions are open to anyone enrolled in deadmau5’s MasterClass. The competition is designed to help aspiring EDM producers to develop skills as an electronic music producer and put the lessons from the MasterClass to use. The submission period opens August 29th at 9 am PST. Submissions close September 26th at 11:59 pm PST.
