Mattel unveils Jimmy Buffett action figure

The figure was inspired by his appearance in Jurassic World

Jurassic World fans and Parrotheads alike fondly remember Jimmy Buffett’s cameo “saving” two margaritas as dimorphodons attack and swarm Jurassic World attendees. Inspired by this movie moment, Mattel has created a Jimmy Buffet action figure who wears his island apparel, including sunglasses and flip-flops. He stands atop a margarita-style platform, surrounded by “flying” dimorphodons that circle him as the tiki hut-style base turns.

The figure stands 3.75 inches tall. The margarita glass lights up and plays music when you turn the base with authentic sounds including a whirring blender and swarming dimorphodons. The figure holds two drink glasses and the company included a “lost shaker of salt” accessory. The figure comes with a premium margarita blender packaging structure with custom artwork.

The Jurassic World Hammond Collection Bubbles Up Jimmy Buffett Figure will be available on August 2nd.

In honor of Buffett’s philanthropic legacy, Mattel will donate $5,000 and 5,000 toys to Buffett’s Singing for Change. The non-profit funds organizations that inspire personal growth, community integration and the enhanced awareness that collectively, people can bring about positive change. We believe people can achieve sustainable self-sufficiency through vibrant, diverse communities. We focus our resources on inclusive, grassroots organizations.
