An exclusive version of the rapper’s new release features cover art designed by the K-pop girl group
Megan Thee Stallion has unveiled a limited edition of her new deluxe album, Megan: Act II, featuring alternate cover art designed by K-pop girl group Twice. The new version is available exclusively on Megan Thee Stallion’s website through 11:59 pm ET on Thursday, October 31st.
In addition to collaborations with Flo Milli, Spiritbox and RM of BTS, the project also pairs Megan and Twice together for an electrifying remix of “Mamushi” that continues to highlight Megan’s artistic versatility.
The 13-song deluxe features a wide array of dynamic and hard-hitting verses from the Houston native but also includes a collaboration with Spiritbox on “TYG” that showcases her expansion into the rock music genre. Megan previously worked with the band in 2023 when she released “Cobra (Rock Remix).”
During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last Wednesday, Megan shared her rationale for unveiling the loaded deluxe, explaining, “I feel like I have to keep the Hotties fed and keep them stimulated. You have to understand this is the year of Megan Thee Stallion.”
Most recently, the New York Liberty—the newly crowned WNBA champions—became the latest to join the viral dance craze. They joined Megan backstage at The Tonight Show to re-enact the “Mamushi” dance, take a picture with the championship trophy, and present her with a team jersey. Megan had originally teamed up with Japanese hip-hop artist Yuki Chiba on “Mamushi,” which took the summer and social media by storm.
The deluxe also includes Megan’s recently released collaboration with RM of BTS for “Neva Play” as a bonus track. She previously released her album, Megan, in June, which included star-studded appearances from Victoria Monet, GloRilla, UGK, Big K.R.I.T., Kyle Richh, and Yuki Chiba.
The hitmaker is also gearing up to release her new documentary, Megan Thee Stallion: In Her Words that will be available to stream on Prime Video on October 31st. It will offer an inside look at Megan’s rise and evolution in an unprecedented way.
It marks an extraordinary month for Megan, who was just awarded the 2024 genLOVE Award for Outstanding Philanthropy at the 18th Annual Golden Heart Awards for her philanthropic work with her Pete and Thomas Foundation. Anna Wintour and Michael Kors, who both serve as the chairs of God’s Love We Deliver, organized the event.
