Metallica announces Abu Dhabi, Bahrain concerts

The band will return to Abu Dhabi and hit Bahrain for the first time

Metallica has added two Middle Eastern shows to their 2025 itinerary. On December 3rd, the band will hit the stage for the first time ever in Bahrain at Beyon Al Dana Amphitheatre, and on December 6th, headlining one of the three After-Race Concerts at the Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix at Yas Island.

Tickets to the Bahrain show be available via Beyon Al Dana Amphitheatreโ€™s official website on Thursday, April 24th at 4 pm AST/2 pmBST/9 am EDT.

Tickets to the After-Race Concerts are exclusive to Abu Dhabi Grand Prix ticket holders. Metallica fans can purchase a ticket for the race and our show through Abu Dhabi GP. If you already have a ticket to the race, Golden Circle upgrades are also available.

The Grand Prix appearance will mark the third time METALLICA has performed in Abu Dhabi. The band made its debut on Yas Island in 2011 and returned two years later.

“Metallica deliver life-changing shows. They are the perfect addition to the 2025 F1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and Yasalam offering. Saturday will be a day not to miss for F1 and rock fans alike,” says David Powell of Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Metallica was set to kick off the 2025 run on April 12th at the Sick New World Festival in Las Vegas, but the event was canceled. The band returned to the road on April 19th in Syracuse, New York. M72 2025 will see Metallicaโ€™s long-awaited return to Australia and New Zealand.

Since opening in April 2023 in Amsterdam, M72 has seen Metallica play to three million fans. The tour will conclude its triumphant 2024 run with four nights at Mexico Cityโ€™s Estadio GNP Seguros, where Metallica will play to more than 250,000 fans throughout two No Repeat Weekends.

The M72 World Tourโ€™s 2025 itinerary will continue the hallowed No Repeat Weekend tradition, with each night of the two-show stands featuring entirely different setlists and support lineups. These will include the bandโ€™s first Nashville shows in five years on May 1st and 3rd at Nissan Stadium, as well as Metallicaโ€™s return to Tampa after 15 years on June 6th and 8th at Raymond James Stadium. M72 has also confirmed its much anticipated Bay Area hometown play, to take place June 20th and 22nd with the bandโ€™s debut performances at Leviโ€™s Stadium in Santa Clara.

In a new twist, M72 2025 will feature several single shows bringing the tourโ€™s full production, with its massive in-the-round stage, to venues including two college football stadiums: JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse, New York on April 19th, and Metallicaโ€™s first-ever visit to Blacksburg, Virginia, home of the Virginia Tech Hokies. The May 7th show at Lane Stadium will culminate 20+ years of โ€œEnter Sandmanโ€ playing as the Hokies take the field.

Support on M72โ€™s 2025 North American run will come from Pantera, Limp Bizkit, Suicidal Tendencies, and Ice Nine Kills.
