Metallica announces details for Orion Music + More Festival

Metallica has announced the lineup for their 2013 Orion Music + More Festival. Detroit will play host to the event this year on June 8th and 9th at Belle Isle. Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rise Against, Deftones and Bassnectar will all headline with a total of 30 bands on tap to play during the two day festival. The event is known to feature sections representing each band member’s other passions including James Hetfield’s Custom Car & Motorcycle Show, Lars Ulrich’s Hit the Lights Film Tent, Kirk Hammet’s Crypt and Robert Trujillo’s Vans Vert Ramp. Metallica’s official website reports that the Metallica Museum will also return along with other fan favorite attractions from last year’s debut that took place in Atlantic City, NJ.

Metallica fan club members can take part in a presale starting Wednesday (Feb 26th) at 10 am EST through Friday (Feb 28th) at 10 pm EST. Fan club ticket prices range from $125 for a two day pass to $225 for a two day pass with a special viewing section for fan club members only. E-list members will get the option to partake in a presale for $150 for a two day pass starting Thursday (Feb 27th) at 10 am EST through Friday (Feb 28th) at 10 pm EST. Two day VIP passes are available for $750. The General Public On-Sale date is Fri (Mar 1st) and tickets are $150 for two day passes and $750 for the VIP experience. All fees are included with each ticket purchase.
