Metallica announces Metallica Mondays streaming concert series

#MetallicaMondays kick off March 23rd

Metallica is making the most of social distancing by offering Metallica Mondays where fans can stream complete live shows on their Facebook page and YouTube channel. The series kicks off tonight (Mon, March 23rd) at 8 pm ET with Metallica Live at Slane Castle from June 8, 2019.

“While we’re all doing our part and staying home, we find ourselves missing live music, so how about we dive back into a few of our favorite shows at a socially responsible distance?” the group shares. “Not to sound too cheesy, but now more than ever, we’re in this together, and staying connected is how we’ll get through it. With that in mind, we’re bringing a series of Live Metallica shows right to your couch!”

Every week, the group will stream a different complete different show from their Live Metallica archives.

Earlier Monday, the group shared the rest of their 2020 plans which were highly affected by COVID-19. Three of the Danny Wimmer Presents festivals they were set to headline this year — Epicenter, Welcome to Rockville and Sonic Temple — were canceled due to the pandemic. However, Louder Than Life has been expanded to four days and the group is rejoining as a headliner after bowing out earlier this year due to frontman James Hetfield’s efforts to stay healthy.
