Metallica donates $100k to Hurricane Milton relief

The band’s charitable organization has made a sizeable donation to help victims

Metallica has donated $100,000 to Hurricane Milton relief through its All Within My Hands Foundation. The band’s 501(c)3 is donating $50,000 each to Feeding America and the Information Technology Disaster Resource Center (ITDRC) to assist with strained food bank operations and swift restoration of essential technology and communications infrastructure that was destroyed when the Category 3 storm plowed through Siesta Key, Florida on October 9th.

Food banks and Feeding America have been busy staging emergency food, water, and supplies at food banks throughout Florida. Continued attention and care remain critical as they assess the damage and destruction from Hurricane Milton. Donating funds is the most efficient way to support affected food banks.

Information Technology Disaster Resource Center is a volunteer-driven nonprofit that provides technology continuity, connectivity, and recovery after catastrophic events for communities impacted by disasters. Donations support the ongoing work of hundreds of ITDRC volunteers to ensure public safety, responding relief organizations, and local businesses are connected and have access to the communications they need to serve their community.

The band will continue its charitable efforts on December 13th with the fourth Helping Hands Concert & Auction. Hosted once again by Jimmy Kimmel, this year’s event will mark the return of AWMH’s Helping Hands Concert & Auction to LA—where the previous Helping Hands show in December 2022 raised approximately $3 million, 100% of which went directly to All Within My Hands’ efforts supporting workforce education, the fight against hunger, disaster relief and other critical local services.
