Metallica will headline a Jimmy Kimmel Block Party on Wednesday, December 14th. The band made the announcement late last week on its website.
“We’ve been invited to shut down a few streets and throw a massive block party with Jimmy Kimmel Live!” they write. “Jimmy has been kind enough to ask us to stop by, chat and play a few songs outside of the studio on Wednesday, December 14th. We want you to join us!”
There are three ways to get tickets into the concert. Fifth Members can enter to win a shot at two tickets while local Los Angeles area radio stations are giving chances away. Also, free tickets are always available upon request (unless sold out) at 1iota.com.
The show will air Wednesday night, December 14th on ABC at 11:35 ET/PT. Check local listings.
The next night, Metallica will headline an intimate show at Los Angeles’ Fonda Theatre in Hollywood on Thursday, December 15th. The event is sold out. Both events are in support of Metallica’s latest album, Hardwired…To Self Destruct, which was released November 18th on Blackened Recordings.
