Band returns in June and July

Metallica is returning to Europe in June and July 2022 to headline music festivals. The band will headline Copenhell, Pinkpop, Firenze Rocks, Prague Rocks, Hellfest, Rock Werchter, Mad Cool and NOS Alive with additional festivals promised.

“We have waited far too long to say these words – we’re getting back out there and are finally announcing our return to Europe in 2022! Needless to say, we cannot wait to see all of you once again as our European ’Tallica Family will finally have a chance to reunite in June and July of next year,” the band shares in a statement.

“We can’t wait to once again take the stage as part of the time-honored tradition of summer music festivals and we’re excited to see some of our friends, both new and old, at Copenhell, Pinkpop, Firenze Rocks, Prague Rocks, Rock Werchter, Mad Cool, and NOS Alive.”

Fifth Members have special pre-sale access with some currently underway. Ticket pricing and on-sales vary with Mad Cool in Madrid, Spain and NOS Alive in Lisbon, Portugal starting this week.

Meanwhile Stateside, Metallica is headlining Danny Wimmer Presents US festivals including Louder Than Life, Aftershock and Welcome To Rockville this year. At each stop, the band will play two separate sets over two nights — one Friday and one Sunday — during the same weekend, which was delayed from 2020 due to the pandemic.
