Group hopes to reschedule for 2020
Midland has postponed the remainder of their 2019 tour dates due to a medical emergency with vocalist Mark Wystrach’s newborn baby girl with fiance Ty Haney. The band shared the news via Twitter early Friday (Nov 29th) stating they hope to reschedule in 2020.
“We regretfully must postpone our upcoming tour due to a medical emergency following the birth of Mark and Ty’s baby,” they share. “His daughter is expected to make a full recovery, but Mark is unable to be away from home until that happens. We are all incredibly saddened to delay the tour and are working hard to reschedule for next year. Mark and Ty will share more info when they feel comfortable. Further information on the rescheduled dates and refund details if unable to attend will be released next week.”

Dates affected include Belfast, Ireland; Glasgow, Scottland; Manchester, England; Birmingham, England; Sheffield, England; London, England; Amsterdam, Netherlands; Las Vegas, NV; and two dates in Worley, ID.
The trio has their eyes set on a busy 2020 as they kick off their Road to the Rodeo Tour ’20 on January 31st in Boston. Dates are scheduled through their headlining appearance at California’s Stagecoach Festival in late April with some international dates in Europe in March.
Hailing from Dripping Springs, TX, Wystrach fronts Midland’s rich sound that is rounded out with lead guitarist Jess Carson and bass player Cameron Duddy. Rooted in tradition in both sound and style, the trio initially garnered attention playing clubs in the region. Their critically-acclaimed freshman album, On The Rocks (Big Machine Records), features 13 tracks with songwriting credits from each member alongside hitmakers Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne. The Dann-Huff produced album earned the No. 1 position on Billboard’s Top Country Album Sales chart up on release. Their debut No. 1 single “Drinkin’ Problem,” which offers an intentional nod to country music reminiscent of the 1970’s and 80’s, earned the band their first GRAMMY Awards nominations for Best Country Song and Best Country Duo/Group Performance.
The band’s sophomore record, Let It Roll, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart upon its release this fall. Each member played an integral role in writing the 14 track album with Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne. The album was produced by Dann Huff, McAnally and Osborne. “Mr. Lonely,” the first track off the project, quickly gained a following and was touted as most added at country radio upon release, and sees actor Dennis Quaid starring as the title character in the video.
The critically-acclaimed trio recently launched Set It Straight, a new original podcast on Spotify where it dives inside of country’s strange, shocking and surprising stories and invites a special guest to verify the validity of the story.
