TIME100 list is available now

Miranda Lambert, Adele, Questlove, Jon Batiste, Mary J Blige, and Jazmine Sullivan are among the 2022 TIME100 List of Most Influential People. The full list and related tributes appear in the June 6th/June 13th double issue of TIME, available on newsstands on Friday, May 27th and now at time.com/time100.

The list, now in its 19th year, recognizes the impact, innovation and achievement of the world’s most influential individuals.

“This is further proof that God dreams bigger than any of us ever do,” shares Lambert of TIME’s prestigious distinction. “I’m so honored to join this year’s class of TIME100 as this recognizes that our team, our band, our crew, fellow songwriters, producers and collaborators are being acknowledged for shaking things up and coloring outside the lines to bring even more people under our country music tent.”

Lambert was named an Innovator with GRAMMY-nominated singer/songwriter Elle King penning an essay describing why Lambert deserves the honor. “[S]he’s all about making everybody feel welcome. And there is not one inauthentic hair on her head,” King writes.

Blige leads the Icons list with an essay written by Grammy Award-winning Nas. He claims, “She carved out a lane for herself, and now she can feed the people more than just music.”

Adele is also on the Icons list with comedian James Corden sharing, “She puts emotions into words, describing them in a way we never could ourselves. She is raw, honest, and elegant all at the same time. It never feels like she sings to us. She sings for us.”

Batiste was also named an Icon with Grammy Award-winning record producer and musician Qunicy Jones writing, “He has taken all of that foundational knowledge about our music and made it his own, unafraid to stretch himself as an artist and continually evolve.”

Zendaya, Apple’s Tim Cook, Oprah Winfrey, Zoe Kravitz, Pete Davidson, Keanu Reeves, Joe Rogan and others also appear on the list.
