Palomino is top-selling album in both US and UK

Reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year and three-time GRAMMY winner Miranda Lambert’s critically acclaimed eighth solo album, Palomino, is the top-selling country album in both the US and the UK this week, earning the Texan the No. 4 spot on the all-genre Billboard 200, her seventh entry in the chart’s top 10 and making the project the highest-debuting country album of 2022.

Lyrically visiting 30+ locations with countless characters along the way, the expansive 15-song project takes listeners on a freewheeling trek from the Mojave Desert to Battambang, Cambodia and everywhere in between. Lambert serves as a co-writer on 14 of the 15 songs, with the only outside cut arriving via a rousing cover of Mick Jagger’s “Wandering Spirit.”

Lambert brought the new music from Palomino as well as her expansive catalog of hits on the road along this weekend as her co-headlining The Bandwagon Tour with Little Big Town kicked off in Houston and Dallas as well as Rogers, AR. The tour continues this weekend in Charleston, SC plus Tampa and West Palm Beach, FL with dates through mid-June.

She was just announced as one of the final performers for this weekend’s Billboard Music Awards. She will take the Las Vegas stage alongside Elle King to perform their record-breaking duet of “Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home)” which is the first female duet to the country radio charts in 29 years.
