David Bowie song was one of Lemmy’s favorites
Motorhead’s cover of the David Bowie song “Heroes” has surpassed 50 million views on the band’s YouTube channel. The song was one of the late frontman Lemmy’s favorites.
During a recent appearance on BBC Radio, Ozzy Osbourne was asked to single out his rock god. “My rock god is Lemmy Kilmister. Lemmy was a guy – he shot from the hip every time,” Osbourne shared.
Motorhead’s next project comes on October 29th when Everything Louder Forever – The Very Best Of will be released on 2 CD, 2 LP and 4 LP. This career-spanning collection is the definitive assembly of Motörhead songs. It’s the first time all eras of the band’s recorded history have been represented in one place. During their entire 40 year career, the band released 22 studio albums, amassing chart topping records worldwide, a Grammy award and racking up around 20 million sales. Their hit song, “Ace Of Spades,” became Motörhead’s anthem, perfectly capturing their attitude for millions, and punching giant holes in stereos worldwide to this day.
The band’s “Ace of Spades” is also in the new Addams Family film.
